2014 NYS Association of Foreign Language Teachers
(Rochester, NY)- The 2014 New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers (NYSAFLT) Annual Conference, held from October 10-11th at the Hyatt Regency will offer more than 60 professional development workshops, a variety of vendors and exhibitors, and welcome over 400 attendees.
"As the 97th Conference Chairperson, it is my pleasure to welcome New York State's World Language teachers to my hometown of Rochester for two days of engaging and enriching workshops," said Candace Black.
The convention is about professional development workshops for the foreign language classrooms as well as issues in the profession.
The NYSAFLT Annual Conference is only one of many activities and functions sponsored by NYSAFLT, alone or in conjunction with regional and other state-wide organizations. Regional workshops and conferences, the annual Spring Colloquium, the NYSAFLT Summer Institute, webinars, and other events all contribute to meeting the needs of our members.
NYSAFLT keeps its members abreast of the latest events and teaching techniques through its listserv, webinars, its website, the Language Association Journal and the NYSAFLT News. It provides job information with its placement service and works to further foreign language education through its Board, its standing committees, and in working with the New York State Education Department.
