On Friday June 3rd, Finger Lakes winery Fulkerson Winery and the New York Wine & Culinary Center (NYWCC) will partner for a Winemaker dinner featuring Fulkerson’s award-winning wine selection, presented by their winemaker, paired with local fare prepared by NYWCC chefs.
Established in 1989 on the west side of Seneca Lake, Fulkerson Winery offers award winning, handcrafted wines that truly exhibit the terroir of the Finger Lakes. This family owned and operated winery has more than 25 varieties of wine and over 30 varieties of grape juice. Offering classics such as Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, to more unique varietals such as Lemberger, Grüner Veltliner, and Dornfelder, they offer something to please every palate.
Menu highlights include: a Welcome Reception with Fulkerson 2012 Dry Riesling; Fulkerson Farms Asparagus with chevre espuma & sunflower seed crisp with Fulkerson 2013 Gruner Veltliner; Grilled Chicories & Roasted Carrots with strawberry honey cumin vinaigrette with Fulkerson 2014 Semi-Dry Riesling; Vanilla & Rosewater Montauk Scallop, stinging nettle and white bean purées with Fulkerson 2015 Rosé; Pan-Roasted Duck Breast, charred asparagus spears, potato croquette & raspberry rhubarb duck glace with Fulkerson 2012 Pinot Noir; Chocolate Fudge Cake, flourless tartlette with cherry sauce with Fulkerson 2013 Cabernet Franc; Honey Dipped Farmer’s Cheese, with thyme rhubarb compote, candied walnuts & vanilla crisp with Fulkerson 2014 Vidal Blanc Iced Wine.
