Sitting right along the Erie Canal, Pittsford is a must-visit suburb of Rochester, NY. With delicious restaurants, incredible shopping options, canal focused experiences, and so much more nestled into a picturesque landscape, Pittsford has something for everyone!

Where to Stay

First thing’s first, you need to nail down where you want to stay while you’re visiting Pittsford. There are a ton of great hotel, motel, and Airbnb options in the area, but a few of our favorites include the Hilton Garden Inn, the Del Monte Lodge, and the Cottage Hotel of Mendon.

We promise these cozy options will have you feeling right at home in no time!

Get Your Caffeine Fix

If you’re anything like us, the first step when exploring a new town is finding the best spot to get a caffeine fix. Luckily, Pittsford has all the cute coffee shops and breakfast spots you could want.

If you’re strolling down the Erie Canal, be sure to stop by Neutral Ground in Schoen Place. This coffee house has everything you could want: an adorable interior, an outdoor seating area right along the canal, yummy breakfast and lunch options, and (of course) insanely good coffee.

Also located in Schoen Place, Simply Crepes is another great spot to grab coffee in the area. While this restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the coffee options are simply unmatched. From cappuccinos to shaken espressos, you’ll find it at Simply Crepes.

Another great coffee shop to try out is Village Bakery. Located in the Village of Pittsford, Village Bakery has everything from seasonal beverages to a full espresso bar, not to mention a delicious selection of breakfast and lunch options.

Lunch & Dinner Must-Try’s

Now that we’ve got coffee covered, it’s time to explore the rest of the food and drink scene in Pittsford.

If you’re in the market for a delicious meal and water-front views, we recommend Erie Grill, located right in the Del Monte Lodge! With craft cocktails, Oyster Night every Tuesday, and an upscale and unique atmosphere, Erie Grill is a great option for brunch, lunch, dinner, or drinks (or all of the above – we don’t judge).

Looking for a quicker bite? Root 31 in Pittsford Plaza is a counter-serve restaurant with incredible sandwiches, wraps, salads, smoothies, and more.

If you’re craving sushi, you can’t go wrong with Next Door by Wegmans. This elevated Japanese restaurant is perfect for any occasion, from an intimate dinner to an elegant event. Enjoy hand-rolled sushi, new twists on classic Japanese meals, and the freshest ingredients.

For Italian and American food, we recommend checking out JoJo’s Bistro and Wine Bar and Black and Blue Steak and Crab. Both of these spots will satisfy your need for an indulgent and authentic meal along with a delicious glass of wine or a craft cocktail.
