If you want to grab a sweet treat after your meal, we recommend stopping by Abbott’s Frozen Custard to grab dessert from this iconic Rochester spot.

Brockport is home to several must-try coffee shops waiting to give you the caffeine boost you need. From local favorites like Java Junction and Grinds Café & Sweet Shoppe, to recognizable names like 7 Brew, Brockport has all the coffee and tea you could want.

Shop Small

If you ask us, one of the best parts of exploring a town is discovering all the amazing local shops. One of our favorites in Brockport is Lift Bridge Book Shop, a long-standing and well-loved bookstore located on Main Street in Brockport.

Other shops to check out include Bittersweet, The Carriage Place Crafts & Antique Co-Op, Kirby’s Farm Market, and more.

Fun on the Canal

There is so much fun to be had on the Erie Canal in Brockport! Whether you want to walk, bike, or kayak, Brockport is a great place to do it.

The Brockport Welcome Center on the Erie Canal offers free bike rentals for visitors so you can bike along the Erie Canalway Trail. Brockport also offers the canal’s first Board Safe Accessible Dock/Kayak Launch, making launching and landing easier for everyone.

If you’re visiting in the summer months, there are a few festivals and events that should be on your radar. Be sure to check out the Brockport Arts Festival taking place August 8 & 9, 2026 and the Serenades Concert Series happening throughout July and August.
