ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Visit Rochester is proud to announce that Amanda Fox, Vice President of Operations and Events, has been awarded the 2025 Executive Excellence Award by the Event Services Professionals Association (ESPA).
The Executive Excellence Award recognizes event services executive leaders who demonstrate exceptional dedication, service, and passion for the growth and development of their teams. The award nomination was submitted by members of her own team at Visit Rochester, illustrating the impact she has made on her colleagues and community.
As VP of Events and Services, Fox oversees the planning and execution of conventions, meetings, and events that bring thousands of visitors to the Rochester region annually. She manages the event services team, which is responsible for providing service to visiting meeting, convention and sports group, with services offered including transportation, catering, venues, A/V, team-building, entertainment and off-site activities.
“Amanda not only advocates for the event services department, but for our entire staff. She is not afraid to share new ideas and create new opportunities and is a backbone to our organization. Amanda's office door is truly the most visited, which just shows her knowledge and how all of us look up to her in her role. She is the definition of a mentor and leader,” wrote Event Services Manager Amber Brewer in her nomination of Fox for this prestigious award.
Fox acts as a leader and a mentor to both her team at Visit Rochester, as well as the ESPA organization as a whole. Within ESPA, Fox serves on the Board of Directors, Annual Conference Committee and Leadership Committee, while also encouraging engagement and growth for her peers within the industry.
The Event Services Professionals Association presents the Executive Excellence Award annually to honor leaders who set the standard for excellence in event services management and demonstrate a commitment to their teams' professional growth.
