Visit Rochester marked National Celebrate Services Week 2026 with an Awards Ceremony & Luncheon on August 4 honoring the individuals and organizations who help make events in the Greater Rochester region successful.
National Celebrate Services Week was founded by the Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA) to recognize the role of event service professionals across North America. Destinations, hotels, and venues nationwide observe the week each year with local celebrations honoring the people who work behind the scenes to bring events to life.
Visit Rochester recognized three 2026 award winners:
Event Service Professional of the Year: David Varecka, General Manager, Cheshire AV
This award recognizes an outstanding individual who exemplifies excellence in the event services industry within the Greater Rochester region, demonstrating exceptional professionalism, leadership, creativity, and dedication while consistently delivering high-quality service and memorable experiences.
Outstanding Service Award: Bella Events Group
This award honors an individual or organization that has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to service, reliability, and excellence, consistently exceeding expectations and serving as a model of professionalism and integrity.
Visit Rochester Services Partner of the Year: Chef's Catering
This award recognizes an outstanding Visit Rochester partner organization that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to supporting and enhancing the event experience in the Greater Rochester region, exemplifying collaboration, professionalism, innovation, and service excellence.
The event, sponsored by Cheshire AV, was hosted at Homesteads for Hope Community Farm, with catering provided by Farmhouse Table. As part of the day's community impact, Visit Rochester donated more than 20 flower bouquets to residents of The Villages at Unity senior living facility.
