Visit Rochester, the official tourism promotion agency for Monroe County, is pleased to announce the following recent additions to its team of tourism and hospitality professionals.
Katie Dee has joined Visit Rochester as Communications Specialist. In this role, Dee will be will be responsible for managing website content updates, crafting original blog content, creating engaging material for Visit Rochester’s social media channels, and overseeing community management to enhance the organization’s digital presence. Dee comes to Visit Rochester from Soleo Communications, where she worked as a Content Marketing Specialist focused on the car insurance industry. Prior to that she was the online, social media editor and journalist at D2Emerge, where she focused on creating content for the software development industry.
Katie is a proud graduate of SUNY Oneonta, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in English Literature. She currently resides in downtown Rochester where she gets to enjoy the city’s vibrant nightlife, dining and entertainment on a regular basis.
Katie Berry recently joined Visit Rochester a Marketing & Events Assistant.
In this role, Berry will play a key role in supporting Visit Rochester’s marketing and event services initiatives. Her new responsibilities include coordinating internal design requests, creating marketing materials, and supporting brand management efforts. Additionally, she will assist with event services, including on-site hospitality, signage distribution, and collateral management for the groups hosting meetings, conventions or other special events in Monroe County.
Berry previously worked as the Community Coordinator & Communications Specialist at the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, where she managed a number of communications and marketing responsibilities as well as Chamber partner engagement. She also supported tourism promotion efforts for St. Lawrence County.
A graduate of Clarkson University, Berry holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Communication, Media & Design and Biology. She was actively involved in her sorority, Kappa Delta Chi where she continues to serve as District Chair and Alumnae Board Historian. Berry resides in Henrietta, NY.
