Visit Rochester, the official tourism promotion agency for Monroe County, is pleased to announce the following recent additions to its team of tourism and hospitality professionals.
Holly Avino has joined Visit Rochester as a Marketing & Event Coordinator. In this new role, Avino will support tourism projects and programs, planning of familiarization tours for tour operators, and development of marketing collateral. In addition to supporting the marketing department, Avino will work with Visit Rochester’s event services department. Her event services responsibilities include providing on-site information and hospitality tables at visiting meetings, conventions, sports competitions and tournaments. She will also work with convention groups and sporting events to provide custom information to event attendees to enhance their experience while visiting Rochester and Monroe County. Avino will also provide support at the festivals and events where Visit Rochester welcomes visitors, including the Rochester Lilac Festival and Rochester International Jazz Festival.
Prior to joining Visit Rochester, Avino worked with Destination Niagara USA as a Sales Coordinator. Avino is a graduate of Niagara University, where she earned a bachelor of science in Hospitality, Tourism and Destination Management, as well as Finger Lakes Community, College, where she earned an associate degree in Business Administration. Avino resides in the City of Rochester with her dog, Coco.
Emmalynne Quinn has been hired as Visitor Services and Accounting Specialist. In this role, Quinn serves the important role of first point-of-contact to visitors to Visit Rochester’s downtown Visitor Information Center, along with engaging and providing support to prospective visitors who reach out seeking information on Rochester by phone and email. Quinn will also provide accounting and financial services support for the organization. Quinn joins Visit Rochester from the Fred A. Nudd Corporation in Ontario, NY.
Quinn is a graduate of SUNY Brockport, where she earned a bachelor of science in in Recreation and Leisure Studies, with a concentration in tourism, as well as Monroe Community College, graduating with an associate degree in Applied Science, Hospitality Management, Travel and Tourism. She resides in Ontario, NY.
