Visit Rochester and New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association Distribute Protective Masks to Hospitality Industry

Visit Rochester and the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association (NYSH&TA) recently partnered on distributing protective masks to Rochester-area hotels and hospitality workers.

The New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association's (NYSH&TA) Education Foundation purchased protective masks to support hospitality and tourism industry workers. NYSH&TA teamed up with 16 Convention & Visitors Bureaus throughout the state who will distribute the masks to their respective tourism communities, including Visit Rochester.

Protective Masks Ready for Distribution

"We are proud to partner with NYSH&TA to distribute these masks that will help provide proper protection for essential employees who work in hospitality in our community," said Visit Rochester President & CEO, Don Jeffries. 

“In this time of need, NYSH&TA’s Education Foundation is proud to stand side-by-side with its regional tourism partners to support the industry in any way possible,” said NYSH&TA President, Mark Dorr. “We understand the need for proper protection for essential employees in the hospitality and tourism community and strive to ensure the safety of these workers.”

NYSH&TA is the oldest state lodging association in the country, representing 1,000 members including hotels, motels, resorts, conference centers, country inns, bed & breakfast establishments, reservation service organizations, amusement parks, attractions, museums, ski areas, recreational facilities, historical sites, convention and visitor bureaus, chambers of commerce, colleges and universities, hospitality students and suppliers to the industry.
