Rochester to Host Choroideremia Research Foundation International Conference
Rochester, N.Y. -- The Choroideremia Research Foundation (CRF) is set to host its international conference in Rochester, NY, June 15-18.
This event is an international conference for individuals diagnosed with a rare, progressive vision disorder which leads to blindness called choroideremia (CHM). It is estimated that 6,000 patients in the US are living with CHM. This event will bring together patients, family members and global research professionals dedicated to finding treatment options or a cure for this inherited disease.
The 2022 CRF International Conference will take place in Rochester, in part, because the Foundation was founded by Rochester-based patients 22 years ago. The conference will feature helpful sessions on living with CHM, research updates, and time for members of the CHM to come together.
“We are thrilled to bring the International Conference back to the CHM community,” said Neal Bench, CRF board president. “With 22 years of growth and advancement, we have much to celebrate in our commitment to find a cure for all those affected by choroideremia around the world.”
The CRF International Conference will bring an estimated 250-300 attendees to the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Rochester, June 15-18.
