NEW PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED WITH THE ICONIC COFFEE & RESTAURANT CHAIN

Tim Hortons®, one of the leaders in the restaurant and beverage industry specializing in coffee and baked goods, has teamed up with Monroe Community Sports Centre Corp (MCSCC), a versatile community sports center, to unveil a multi-year partnership. Today, the two entities proudly announced the rebranding of the MCSCC-owned venue, formerly known as Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex, to now officially be named Tim Hortons Iceplex, effective immediately.

To mark the inception of this partnership, MCSCC and Tim Hortons jointly revealed the new Iceplex logo and associated branding assets, including external signage of the newly named Tim Hortons Iceplex. Over the next few months, all external signage at the venue will undergo a seamless transition to reflect the new name and brand identity. In addition, a grand opening kickoff celebration for Tim Hortons Iceplex is in the works for January 2024.

This strategic partnership is built on a mutual commitment to fostering a dynamic future for sports and sports tourism in Rochester. With Tim Hortons' rich hockey heritage, the brand is excited to be more ingrained in the Rochester community by showcasing its enthusiasm for the sport.

Moreover, the brand will be prominently featured throughout the facility, with large-scale, premium branding and signage—both inside and outside the building. This synergy between Tim Hortons and MCSCC is poised to elevate the sports experience for everyone involved.

"We are thrilled about our partnership with Tim Hortons, a company synonymous with hockey. Having their name associated with our facility is a source of great pride for our entire team," said Chris Woodworth, Executive Director of Tim Hortons Iceplex. "This collaboration marks the dawn of a new era for our facility, allowing us to broaden our mission of delivering high-quality sports and community programming."

“Given our brand’s extensive history with hockey and our love for fostering community, Tim Hortons is honored to join with MCSCC to be a part of this incredible facility. This partnership will allow us to serve even more members of the Rochester community, while continuing to sport our love for the hockey fanbase. We look forward to the grand opening!” said Katerina Glyptis, Regional President of Tim Hortons US.

Constructed in 1998, MCSCC is situated within the town of Brighton, nestled on the Monroe Community College Campus. Since its inception, MCSCC has been unwavering in its commitment to serving the community, emerging as a vital catalyst for sports tourism. This dynamic facility has significantly contributed to Monroe County's economy, yielding an estimated economic impact of $60 million annually.

With the establishment of this transformative partnership with Tim Hortons, MCSCC is poised to reinforce its mission and expand its reach. This alliance will empower MCSCC to attract a greater number of tournaments, special events, and enriching community programming, thereby enhancing its role as a hub for sports and recreation.
