SPIE Optifab, North America’s premier optical manufacturing conference and exhibition, will take place in Rochester, NY October 18-21, 2021.
Since 2001, Rochester has hosted the biennial event, devoted to optical manufacturing technologies. 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of SPIE Optifab.
Optics technology plays a critical role across all industries, including consumer, automotive, healthcare, biomedical, telecommunications, energy, and aerospace & defense.
The conference will include four days of technical presentations about the latest in the science of designing and manufacturing optical components.
SPIE Optifab will bring approximately 1,200 optics professionals, including manufacturers, engineers, scientists, academics, students, technicians, and service providers, to Rochester – a city with a rich and storied history in the optics industry.
Meetings and conventions play an important role in the overall economic impact of tourism in Monroe County, which prior to the pandemic was more than $1 billion annually.
