Head of the Genesee – Rochester River Romance

Rochester Community Inclusive Rowing (RCiR) is a charitable 501(c)3 organization focused on leveraging the world caliber rowing venues of Rochester, NY (The Genesee River and the Erie Canal) and distributing proceeds back into the rowing community to further promote the lifelong sport of rowing. Our regattas are staffed by volunteers from area rowing programs and focused on delivering world-class rowing experiences for all.

NYS Ornithological Association

NYSOA's annual business meeting is held during a weekend conference that is open to the public and hosted by NYSOA member club. This annual event brings together birders from across the state and beyond who come to develop new birding friendships, renew old ones, hear excellent speakers, and explore birding opportunities away from their home turf. The weekend offers attendees a variety of social, educational, and birding activities. The business meeting segment of the weekend is attended by delegates of member clubs/organizations and includes elections and new club/organization membership approvals, as well as committee reports and other matters

New York State Economics Association Annual Conference

Center for Development of Human Services (CDHS) Foster/ Adoptive Parent Training

Operating statewide in New York, the Foster/Adoptive Parent Training Project provides direct, outcome-based training to agency caseworkers, home finders, and foster and adoptive parents with the goal of promoting safety, well-being, and permanence for children. Originating in the late 1980s with the development of Fosterparentscope—one of the first comprehensive in-service training programs for foster/adoptive parents in New York State—the project continues to be a major initiative in the field of child welfare, has grown to encompass a range of training offerings reflecting the varied needs of the populace it serves.

Eastman Rochester Organ Initiative Festival 2018

2018 marks the tenth anniversary of the installation of three magnificent organs in Rochester: the Craighead-Saunders Organ (GOArt/Yokota/Arvidsson) at Christ Church, the Halloran-All Saints Organ (Paul Fritts and Company, Opus 26) at Sacred Heart Cathedral, and the David Tannenberg-style organ (Taylor & Boody, Opus 57) at First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford. With the theme of Beyond the Stops: Finding the Organ’s Voices, the 2018 EROI Festival celebrates these instruments by going beyond stoplists and stereotypes to explore the potentials of organ sounds—regardless of chronological, national, or historical styles of organ building.

Flower City ROC/RJCC/VET

The Rochester Fencing Club has a record of competitive achievement producing National, Collegiate, World, and Olympic Champions. More specifically, the RFC has qualified five members to the 1996 Olympics, four to the 2000 Olympics, one to the 2008 Olympics, has produced two World Champions, and placed many fencers on World Championship teams. Our fencers have also won numerous team and individual National Championships.

Northeast Regional Quidditch Championships

US Quidditch is the national governing body for the sport of Quidditch. USQ advances the sport by organizing events and programs that build community and empower all genders to compete together. Inspired by the Harry Potter novels and founded in 2010, we serve over 4,000 athletes on almost 200 teams nationwide and provide a range of services, from hosting nine major tournaments and supervising regular season competition, to supporting and certifying referees, snitches, and tournament directors, offering grants, and working to expand the sport into younger age groups through outreach programs at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
