It's a magical time of year when the weather is just right: warmer days, chilly nights and the sap has begun to flow in the sugar maples. There is nothing quite like the taste of fresh maple syrup from New York State. Visit these locations for an extra-sweet maple sugaring experience!

MAPLE SUGAR FESTIVAL

March 21-23, 29-30 | Genesee Country Village & Museum

Gather family and friends for an outdoor adventure throughout several unique areas of the Museum! Explore maple history, fresh pancakes and syrup, live music, handcrafted goods, bonfires, hands-on activities, sweet and savory seasonal treats, storytelling, timber sports demos, and more! An ASL Interpretation will be available to guests on Friday, March 21 and Friday, March 28 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. 

MAPLE SUGARING WEEKENDS

March 22, 23, 29, 30 | Cumming Nature Center 

Visitors can enjoy steaming-hot stacks of locally-sourced pancakes inside the nature center before heading outdoors for trail demonstrations that explore the science of sap and the long cultural history of tapping maple trees in our region.

MAPLE WEEKENDS

March 22, 23, 29, 30 | Kettle Ridge Farm

Maple Weekend is back at Kettle Ridge Farm! The farm will be open from 9AM to 2PM each of the four Maple Weekend days. Reservations are available for the igloos in 90-minute increments with time slots available at 9:00am, 10:45am and 12:30pm. Additionally, Noble Shepherd Craft Brewery will be in attendance selling KettleJuice as well as a few other delicious brews! 

MAPLE WEEKEND 

March 22 & 23 | Helmer Nature Center

Come walk the trails as the team takes you through the sugaring process. Help collect sap and stop at the evaporator to watch it cook into syrup. Enjoy a delicious meal including all you can eat pancakes and real, made on-site maple syrup. The Pancake Brunch is a long-standing Irondequoit tradition!

SHADOW HILL MAPLE OPEN HOUSE

Saturdays and Sundays March 1-30 | Shadow Hill Maple Syrup

Bring your family and friends to enjoy this popular (and delicious) maple event. Sample a large variety of maple products, walk the trails through the sugarbush to see how sap is collected, and learn how maple syrup is made.
