Totality Awesome Viewing Locations

The next total solar eclipse is happening on April 8, 2024 - and Rochester, NY is in the path of totality (awesome!). On April 8, 2024 at 3:20 p.m. the Greater Rochester area will enjoy three minutes and 38 seconds of totality. What does that mean?  During totality, the sun's bright disk will be covered by the moon for a short time. Changes in temperature, winds, and animal behavior occur during the time around totality. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience, and it will be happening here in Rochester, NY. The path of totality AWESOME.

Plan your visit to Rochester for the 2024 eclipse and get ready with our list of viewing locations (using the proper protective eyewear, of course!). Keep checking back here, more locations will be added to the list in the months leading up to April 8.
