Sparks will fly across Rochester this Independence Day. This is a list of Fourth of July celebrations taking place in Rochester, NY and the Finger Lakes. No matter what corner of the region you are visiting, you will find something fun for everyone.

City of Rochester's Fireworks
July 4 | Downtown Rochester
The classic downtown fireworks extravaganza is back! The best viewing areas for the fireworks include the Main Street Bridge, Broad Street Bridge, and Court Street Bridge. All bridges will be closed to vehicular traffic.
Monroe County
Town of Brighton - 5K + Fireworks
July 4 | Meridian Centre Park
The 5K race starts at 8:00 a.m. with evening activities starting in the park at 8:00 p.m. with performances by The Skycoasters and fireworks at 9:50 p.m.
Town of Chili Chil-E Fest + Fireworks
June 24-25 | Chili’s Memorial Park
The annual Chil-E Fest is back, with traditional events like a parade, car show, food trucks, live music, and more. Fireworks will still happen at 10:00 p.m. and will be visible from the festival grounds.
Genesee Country Village & Museum - Independence Day Celebration
July 4 | Genesee Country Village & Museum
Celebrate America's birthday with a family-friendly day at GCV&M. Learn how 19th-century Americans may have celebrated Independence Day as you wander through the village and participate in themed activities.
Town of Greece - Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
July 4 | Greece Town Hall Campus
The 5K race starts at 7:00 a.m. followed by a kid-friendly Fun Run at 8:15 a.m. Food trucks will be open for business at 4:00 p.m. Kid activities start at 4:00 p.m. A concert series with Nik and the Nice Guys followed by Three Dog Night will begin at 5:15 p.m. with fireworks launching at 9:45 p.m.
Town of Henrietta - 4th of July Celebration
July 4 | Veterans Memorial Park
This year's event begins with the Craft Show and Garage Sale at the Henrietta Senior Center from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The town will also be hosting an outdoor concert and a fantastic fireworks display. The event begins at 4 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Park.
Town of Irondequoit - 4th of July Festival
July 3-4 | Town Hall
Activities for this year's festival span 2 days and include children's activities and food trucks, and a 10K and 2 mile fun run the second day with the town's parade at 11:00 a.m. Fireworks will be on the 4th starting at 9:30 p.m.
Town of Penfield Parade + Fireworks
July 2 | Harris Whalen Park
The Penfield Independence Day parade begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 2 with a fireworks show launching from Harris Whalen Park at 10:00 p.m.
Finger Lakes
Conesus Lake Ring of Fire
July 3 | Long Point Park
Shortly after sunset, lakeside residents light road flares and torches at the lake's edge, creating a "ring of fire." The town of Livonia will set fireworks off once it is completely dark.
