The Campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is home to multiple top-end collegiate sports facilities. With a large field house, competition pool, and multiple arenas, the University Arenas can accommodate a wide array of sporting events.
University Arenas is comprised of the Godon Field House, Ritter Ice Arena and the Gene Polisseni Center. The Gordon Field House is a 160,000 square foot center that includes a 60,000 square floor field/event venue, an aquatic center for competition and recreation, a fully equipped fitness center, and meeting space. The Gene Polisseni Center is a 112,400 square foot multi-purpose facility seats a capacity crowd of 4,300 fans which includes an ice rink, the RIT Athletic Hall of Fame, luxury suites, club longue, and concessions. The Ritter Ice Arena has an intimate capacity of 2,100 and includes sound system, a full service press box, and renovated locker rooms.
RIT has a history and tradition in ice hockey. The school is home to men's and women's hockey. Both teams are ranked in division one and have been nationally recognized. Each team has a fair share of national and divisional titles. The teams call Gene Polisseni Center home. A state of the art ice hockey facility located on RIT campus.
