Our Country’s Good
by Timberlake Wertenbaker

“…Fascinating, challenging, thrilling theatre. A hit.” —WCBS Television

When the first ships arrived in Australia in the late 1780s, they were not carrying tourists in cabin class. Oh, no. They were carrying felons and murders and prostitutes, sent to newly established penal colonies Down Under. An officer discovers that the inmates regard the hangings of prisoners as entertainment and becomes determined to produce Australia’s first theatrical performances. As with any rehearsals for a play—even now!—this production is not without its drama, romance, and a bunch of hammy actors.

SUNY policies pertaining to COVID-19 prevention will be in place for this performance. Please be sure to check the ticketing website closer to the performance date for specifics.
