The New York State Recreation and Park Society was founded in 1940 and incorporated in 1960. NYSRPS is the principal organization promoting quality recreation and park opportunities for all citizens of New York State through education, training, technical assistance and other support to local, county, state and federal recreation and park providers. This April the New York State Recreation and Park Society will visit Rochester for a 3-day event of professional development, networking, camaraderie and more!

This regional conference is modeled after the international Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference. The conference intends to promote the academic, social and professional growth of all who attend. Students, faculty and technology leaders will meet to share research, learn about computing opportunities, network with other women in academia and industry and explore issues common to women in computing.

The New York State Town Clerks Association was founded in 1982 and our mission remains the same today as it was 35 years ago. NYSTCA officers, along with 20 District Directors work to support, encourage, and provide continuing education for Town Clerks and Deputies across New York State. District Directors also serve as liaisons to our State Agencies, bringing members important information and representing our interests.

The Oddfellows held their Biennial Movable Convention in Rochester in August of 2016.
