Now more than ever, our local bars and bartenders need our support. Like so many other cities our hospitality industry was significantly impacted during the 2020 lockdowns of the pandemic. The 2021 Rochester Cocktail Revival, New York State's flagship craft cocktail festival, is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the spirit of Rochester's craft cocktail scene and the resiliency of our food & beverage industry.

In its eighth year, the Rochester Cocktail Revival is set for August 30 to September 5, 2021 with a full schedule of events (21 and older) happening at different host bars and special event locations around Rochester. Participating bars include: Good Luck, Cure, The Revelry, Ox & Stone, The Owl House, The Playhouse, The Daily Refresher, Bitter Honey, Branca Midtown, Swan Dive, Locals Only, Radio Social, Bar Bantam, Lento, The Cub Room, Cheshire, Roux, Nox, Tapas, Vern's, Lucky's, The Richmond, Velvet Belly, and Redd.

Highlights of the 2021 Rochester Cocktail Revival include:

Through The Looking Glass: A Wonderland Garden Party | August 31 | George Eastman Museum
The George Eastman Museum's West Garden provides a whimsical setting for guests to sip tea party-inspired cocktail creations, enjoy hors d'oeuvres, listen to live music, commission a custom poem, play lawn games, and more.

From Margarita to Mezcal Mule: The History of Agave Spirits in Cocktails | September 4 | Restaurant Good Luck
In this seminar, Robert Simonson, New York Times cocktail writer and the author, will talk about the journey of agave cocktails, from the days when Tequila was a rare base for cocktails like the Margarita and Tequila Sunrise, to today's worldwide explosion of hundreds of new drinks showcasing not just Tequila but Mezcal and other agave-derived spirits.

Bar Room Battle Royale | September 5 | Radio Social
Rochester Cocktail Revival bartenders from around the city will go shaker-to-shaker in the annual Bar Room Battle Royale, but only one will claim mixology supremacy. Event ticket includes the Bar Ninja competition, spirit tasting tables and samples.

A portion of all proceeds from Rochester Cocktail Revival will benefit Gilda's Club Rochester--a local non-for-profit that annually provides free programming to men, women, teens, and children who are affected by cancer. For a full list of this year's events and to purchase tickets visit,
