Experience a truly memorable golf outing in Rochester, New York

Rochester, NY is one of the Northeast's premier golf destinations. This is a region rich in golf history and tradition, home of legends Walter Hagen and Robert Trent Jones, as well as the site of major professional golf championships. There are 62 resort, semi-private and public courses to choose from - all within a 45-mile radius of the center of Rochester.  These courses are designed by famous names and up-and-coming course architects - and some are ranked in the top 10 of "America's 100 Greatest Courses" by Golf Magazine.

Golf clubs are available for rent at the golf gazebo on the hotel grounds. Get started on nine impressive and picturesque holes that take you through wooded areas and scenic vistas.  After a demanding yet enjoyable round, retire to the Horizons lounge for Happy Hour, with live entertainment from Soul Express.  Enjoy dinner in the award-winning Horizons Restaurant- pair it with local Casa Larga Vineyard wines. Then retire before a full day ahead of golfing and wine tasting.

Day 2

Wake up and enjoy a full breakfast buffet in Horizons Restaurant before departing to Ravenwood Golf Club, located less than six miles from the hotel.  Celebrating ten years in 2012, Ravenwood GC is an upscale, semiprivate facility designed by Robin Nelson, featuring a large driving range and seven target greens in addition to its challenging 18-hole course, made playable for golfers at all levels with five sets of tees. In 2003, Golf Digest rated it #5 "Best New Public Course" in America. Ravenwood is the only course in Western New York offering Prolink "GPS" satellite on all carts.  A limousine provided by Rochester Shuttle Express can provide transportation to this gem in Victor, New York.

Once you have enjoyed the beautiful vistas and worked up a healthy appetite, adjourn to the 3,000 square foot banquet room for a relaxing lunch and gorgeous views of the course.

After a satisfying meal, take a short 10-minute ride with Rochester Shuttle Express to the second highest point in Monroe County.  A professional tour guide at Casa Larga Vineyards will welcome you to this picturesque villa on the hill and lead you through the process of how they produce their award winning wines - from vineyard to glass. You will view the vineyard, fermentation tanks, oak barrel room and bottling line. The tour concludes with a tasting of five preselected wines at the Tasting Bar.  For 35 years, the Colaruotolo family has been committed to producing superior, award winning wines, and creating a unique experience for all vineyard guests.  Once you have tasted some of their featured wines, you will be able to visit the Casa Larga gift shop to purchase your favorites.  On your way back to the hotel, stop for a casual bite to eat at LaRosa's Kitchen + Bar, located inside Brookwood Innin the quaint town of Bushnell's Basin on the Erie Canal. After indulging in the cuisine of this new Italian restaurant, take the two- mile ride back to Woodcliff Hotel & Spa to see Gap Mangione play his famous jazz piano in Horizons Lounge.

Day 3

For your final day of golf in the Rochester area, take a leisurely 30- minute ride to Canandaigua Lake, the home of Bristol Harbour Resort.  Voted Best Public Golf Course in Ontario County, this 6,700 yard golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1972.   It is just as well-known for its championship layout as it is for the amazing views of Canandaigua Lake and the surrounding hillsides.  The well-maintained course offers a sharp contrast between the front and back nine. While the front nine consists of open views of the lake, the back nine cuts through the woods and offers beautiful scenery of the rolling Bristol Hills.  Although it is challenging, Bristol Harbour was designed to be playable for all levels of golfers.

Before your return home, visit The Lodge at Bristol Harbour to enjoy a beverage -- or dine out on the terrace overlooking the lake.  Soak in the beautiful views of the lake and the Bristol Hills while recounting the invigorating workout on the course at Bristol Harbour.
