Seneca Park Zoo’s annual Halloween event, ZooBoo, begins October 14 and continues every Saturday and Sunday for the remainder of the month. One of the region’s favorite fall events, ZooBoo is fun for the whole family and offers activities participants of all ages will enjoy. Each ZooBoo participant will receive an adventure map that leads them to an array of adventure stations throughout the Zoo.
ZooBoo Adventurers will learn about animals in the Zoo’s care through a host of activities and experiences, including Halloween crafts, face painting, and twice-daily costume contests - all in the unique atmosphere of the Zoo. One of last year’s most enjoyed events, costume contests will be held each day of ZooBoo at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Adventurers can also watch Halloween-themed animal enrichment, walk through the Conservation Graveyard, and pose for photos with costumed characters.
A portion of every ZooBoo ticket is donated to Health in Harmony, a non-profit organization that supports orangutan conservation and ecosystem health in Borneo. Only sustainably-sourced palm oil and palm oil-free treats are provided to our ZooBoo Adventurers, which helps ensure the viability of the habitats essential to orangutans and other species.
ZooBoo tickets are only required for participating adventurers and can be used on any of the event dates. Tickets for Zoo members are $6.50 in advance or $7.50 the day of, while visitors pay general admission plus $8.50 per adventurer, or $7.50 in advance.
ZooBoo is held rain or shine and ticket sales are non-refundable and non-transferable. For more information or to buy advanced tickets, visit senecaparkzoo.org/zooboo.
