A $79.4 million transformation of the Greater Rochester International (ROC) Airport was unveiled yesterday by state and local officials. The renovations at the ROC Airport were made possible through funding by New York State and Monroe County. 

 

Building upon New York State's record investments in revitalizing Upstate New York's economy, the airport's enhancements both inside and out will spur tourism and continue the region's forward progress. The Greater Rochester International Airport now offers new passenger amenities with enhances accessibility, state-of-the-art security monitoring, and a picturesque canopy and passenger drop off area. New shopping and dining options now await travelers inside the airport, including the new "Taste of Rochester" restaurant, which features a wide variety of local restaurants and products. 

 

The renovated airport now also features new play areas developed by The Strong Museum that highlight some of The Strong's offerings, including the World Video Game Hall of Fame.
