In creating and bringing Flower City Comic Con to Rochester, the convention’s organizers are capitalizing on the popularity of comic culture in the United States and the growing number of conventions for fans.  Flower City Comic Con organizers are working with Visit Rochester to welcome visitors coming to the Rochester area for the convention. Organizers estimate over 2,000 people will attend the first-ever Flower City Comic Con throughout the weekend.

Flower City Comic Con organizer Chris Frank expressed his excitement for the weekend’s festivities noting, “This event’s organizers are in this for the wonder and fun of the comic convention experience.  It will be a true joy to see the excitement in other people’s faces.  For us, the payoff will be when someone’s eyes go wide with amazement and they grin because they just saw something at Flower City Comic Con that they’ll remember for a long time to come.”
