Visit Rochester’s Amanda Pfeil Receives Prestigious Certified Meeting Professional Credential

Amanda Pfeil HeadshotVisit Rochester is pleased to announce that Amanda Pfeil, Director of Event Services, has successfully received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential from the Events Industry Council.

The CMP is the highest recognition an individual working in the meetings and event space can earn, and it is recognized globally as the badge of excellence in the events industry. The qualifications for certification are based on professional experience, education and a rigorous exam.

The CMP program was created in 1985 to enhance the knowledge and performance of meeting professionals, promote the status and credibility of the meeting profession and advance uniform standards of practice.

Pfeil began her career with Visit Rochester in 2013 as Convention Services Coordinator. Over the past 6 years, Pfeil has excelled in her position and is growing the event services department at Visit Rochester. In her current role as Director of Event Services, Pfeil is responsible for providing all meeting, tournament, event and conference planners in the Rochester, NY area with resources throughout their planning process while creating a memorable experience for each of their attendees. Pfeil is also tasked with working with visiting meeting and event attendees to extend their stay in the Rochester area following an event in order to maximize the economic impact of each convening group or organization.
