Walnut Hill in Pittsford, NY, provides a majestic country setting to experience the elegant art and skill of the 19th-century horse and carriage in competition. Drivers with tiny pony carts to full-size formal road coaches compete in numerous classes including cross country obstacles and the elegant pleasure driving classes in the ring. Since 1971, Walnut Hill Farm has played host to this sport with thousands of international competitors and tens of thousands of spectators. Join this family-friendly, public celebration of the horse and carriage and enjoy the boutiques, refreshments, and special daily guest attractions. Held in a 19th-century country fair setting, the event features five days of competitions and special exhibits - the fancy dress competition, the carriage dog competition and the Friday Ascot Night Victorian-style picnic are always crowd favorites! The Pittsford Carriage Association, Inc. a not-for-profit educational organization hosts this annual event to help promote the contributions made by the horse and carriage to our country’s cultural, social, and economic history.
