Since its’ inaugural year in 2012, the First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival has attracted visitors from all fifty states, and around the globe each September. The Fringe is a 10-day, all-out, no-holds-barred, multi-disciplinary visual and performing arts festival, featuring more than 500 shows in downtown Rochester. It showcases theater, comedy, visual arts, family entertainment, music, dance, physical theatre, street theatre, musical theatre, opera, poetry, literature and more! Each year the Rochester Fringe Festival invites local, national and international artists to submit their events as part of the festival. Each participating venue curates their own line-up of shows; while other shows are presented in outdoor and public spaces. Visitors are invited to attend a line-up of free and ticketed performances and shows that are certain to be an extraordinary experience.
