Corning Museum of Glass

There’s something for everyone at The Corning Museum of Glass! Watch live, narrated, glassmaking demonstrations and see master glassblowers create stunning pieces before your eyes.

The only thing better than watching glassmaking is trying it yourself. Make Your Own Glass souvenir for a small fee.  Opportunities exist for all ages. For a more intensive experience, you can take a one-day, weekend, or multiple-week course in our glassmaking school, The Studio, which offers year-round courses in all levels of glassmaking.

Explore the world’s largest collection of glass, showcasing 3,500 years of glassmaking history, and get hands-on with the science of glass at Do It! stations in the Innovation Center. The  new Contemporary Art + Design Gallery is the world’s largest space dedicated to the display of contemporary art and design in glass. The gallery features a sophisticated light-filtering system using diffusing roof skylights, providing the majority of the lighting required to view the art.

Kids and teens, 17 and under are free! Discounts of 15% for Students, 55+, Military, AAA/CAA.

  • Description The Corning Museum of Glass is home to the world’s most comprehensive and celebrated collection of glass. The self-guided tour of the Museum begins in the Contemporary Art + Design Galleries, the world’s largest space dedicated to the display of contemporary art and design in glass, and continues through the Innovation Center, which offers an interactive look at the way new discoveries in glass have changed the world. It continues on to the 35 Centuries of Glass Galleries, showcasing more than 3,500 years of glass works in the Museum's collection, and the Contemporary Glass Gallery featuring works from 1975-2000. The tour includes Hot Glass Demos, live narrated demonstrations of hot glassblowing offered all day, every day.
