Summer Concert Series at the Lighthouse

Presented by the Sodus Bay Historical Society

Concerts in 2017 are held every Sunday from July 2 through Labor Day weekend (September 3) from 2-4 p.m.

Concerts are FREE - Bring your own seating and sun protection. Refreshments are available at our concession stand.

Additional parking available at the corner of North Ontario and Bay streets, opposite the Sodus Point Fire Department. Free shuttle bus is available from Newark, Lyons, Sodus, and Sodus Point, as well as from the parking area. A shuttle bus schedule will be available in June.

2017 Concert Season

July 2: Gap Mangione Big Band


An impressive repertoire of arrangements from swing-band era to modern big band and popular music.

July 9: Loren and Mark

This popular guitar duo has a varied repertoire of original and arranged music, influenced by bluegrass, jazz, and western.

July 16: The Buddhahood

This nine-member ensemble offers a variety of vocal styles, percussion, horns, bass, guitar.

July 23: Music Makers Band

This group of professional, talented musicians from the Rochester area performs all types of music including jazz, swing, rock, and disco. (Ice Cream Social from 1-3 p.m. Enjoy a sundae with all the toppings for $4.50. All proceeds support the Sodus Bay Lighthouse.)

July 30: The Dady Brothers

John and Joe Dady entertain audiences throughout the U.S., Canada, and Ireland with fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bodhran, banjo, uilleann pipes, harmonica, and even a penny whistle, while performing country, bluegrass, folk, and Irish music.

August 6: Panloco

Since 1995, this versatile, Western New York steel drum band has entertained with Caribbean, jazz, pop, and classical music .

August 13: Dan Elliott and the Monterays

Since 1962, Dan Elliott and the Monterays have been playing early classic rock, pop, and garage band, covering music from the 1940s through today. They are Central New York's #1 oldies band. (Ice Cream Social from 1-3 p.m. Enjoy a sundae with all the toppings for $4.50. All proceeds support the Sodus Bay Lighthouse.)

August 20: The Brothers Blue

Rooted in the tradition of old-time fiddle music, the sound of The Brothers Blue is unique--original songs fused with elements of country, bluegrass, Cajun, and Irish music.

August 27: Isreal Hagan and Stroke

Nine-time SAMMY Award-winner Isreal Hagan is both a singer and a songwriter. His 4-octave vocal range has gotten him onstage with such luminaries as Robert Cray, B.B. King, Carlos Santana, and Otis Day. This is their first performance in the Sodus Bay area--sure to become a crowd favorite.

September 3: Starlight Orchestra

All your Big Band favorites (Miller, Dorsey, Goodman, Barnett, Ellington) with great vocal and instrumental soloists. One of the premier big bands in Western New York!
