ROC Pride unites and engages individuals and organizations to empower, educate and support the Rochester LGBTQ and Allied Community, and promotes a positive image in the Greater Rochester area through community activities and services. Since the beginnings of Rochester Pride celebrations in 1972, our community has grown and evolved into a strong network with substantial economic, political, and social power.
This year, ROC Pride Fest is moving to Cobbs Hill Park. This change allows for opportunities to produce new programming, to celebrate more and different spaces in the City of Rochester, and to create connections between communities and intersections of the LGBTQ spectrum.
ROC Pride Fest features dozens of entertainment performances on several stages and many exhibitors showcasing a huge variety of food options, shopping opportunities, and community resources. Headliners for the past few years were Cazwell, DEV, Betty Who, Jess Sutta, Donna Maxxon, Mrs. Kasha Davis, Darienne Lake, and many others. The festival brings a variety of food vendors, as well as an Art Walk, a variety of food vendors, Youth program areas, and Dance Pavilion.
In collaboration with government officials, services, private corporations and celebritiels, ROC Pride continues to raise positive awareness of the Greater Rochester LGBTQ community and raises funds for the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley.
