The Rochester Celebrity Organ Recital Series (RCORS) is pleased to present a virtual concert of five Eastman organists who will perform on several historic instruments in the Rochester area, including those housed at Third Presbyterian Church, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and St. John’s Episcopal Church in Canandaigua, NY. Organists Ryan Chan, Daniel Chang, James Kealey, Jiaqi Shao, and Jennifer Shin were five of nine young organists chosen to be semi-finalists in the prestigious National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance before its cancellation due to COVID-19. Now, these organists have been given a second chance to perform as guests for the first concert of our 2020-2021 season. Please join us at rocago.org on November 20 at 7:30pm for our season premiere.
The Rochester Celebrity Organ Recital Series (RCORS) is administered by the Rochester chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO), collaborating with the Eastman School of Music, WXXI, and several local churches to invite some of today’s leading concert organists to perform on Rochester’s rich array of pipe organs. More information on the concert series can be found at rocago.org.
This virtual concert is free and available for viewing for one week after the premier date at rocago.org/rcors. Suggested donations of $12 are welcome and made possible through our website.
