RCORS Presents: Renée Anne Louprette
Please join us Friday, November 30th at 7:30pm as Renée Anne Louprette opens the Rochester Celebrity Organ Recital Series (RCORS) 2018-2019 season.
Hailed by The New York Times as “splendid,” and “one of New York's finest organists,” Renée Anne Louprette has established an international career as organ recitalist, accompanist, conductor, and teacher. She is University Organist and Coordinator of the Organ Department at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, and a former member of the organ faculty at the Manhattan School of Music, The Hartt School of the University of Hartford, and the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University.
Also a renowned liturgical organist, improviser, and consummate church musician, Renée Anne Louprette is associated with a number of distinguished sacred music programs in the New York City area, having served as Associate Director of Music at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, Associate Director of Music and the Arts at Trinity Wall Street, Organist and Associate Director at the Unitarian Church of All Souls, and Director of Music at the Church of Notre Dame. She has appeared in concert throughout Europe and the United States, regularly performing at regional conventions of the American Guild of Organists. She was a feature performer of the 2010 National AGO Convention in Washington, D.C., and the 2014 Convention in Boston where she presented the world premiere of Pamela Decker's Faneuil Hall. In the fall of 2018, she will make her solo debuts at the Royal Festival Hall in London and the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris.
We also invite you to Ms. Louprette's masterclass Saturday, December 1st, from 10:00-12:30pm, when students from the Eastman organ department will have the opportunity to receive one-on-one coaching from our guest. Admission to the masterclass is free and open to the public.
