Living History Event

Immerse yourself in the rich Haudenosaunee culture, heritage and traditions at our annual Living History Event. You'll experience close up, various demonstrations of traditional & contemporary arts, including:

- Open-pit pottery firing demonstration
- Traditional cornbread making (including samples)
- Traditional venison stew making (including samples)
- Basketmaking demonstration
- Log splint pounding
- Two performances of Iroquois Social Dancing
- Seneca Jr. Olympics (for kids 9-16) featuring archery, lacrosse, hoop & javelin, tumpline race, atlatl
- Guided trail walks
- Visit the Seneca Art & Culture Center exhibits, see the Iroquois Creation Story film, and visit the Giftshop
- Visit the Seneca Bark Longhouse
