Gateways Music Festival 2019

The mission of Gateways Music Festival is to connect and support professional classical musicians of African descent and enlighten and inspire communities through the power of performance.

From August 6 through 11, 2019, 125 professional classical musicians of African descent are invited to Rochester, NY from across the United States, Canada, Europe, the Caribbean and South America to Rochester, NY to perform chamber and orchestral music for a total audience of approximately 7,000 in more than 50 venues, including Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Hochstein School of Music & Dance, City Hall, various houses of worship, movie theaters, galleries and private homes.
