Failure is Impossible – Costumed Portrayal of Susan B. Anthony

Meet Susan B. Anthony, America’s champion for woman suffrage, eight years after she voted illegally. What prompted her to appear in Congress every spring for 50 years and endure harsh conditions on the campaign trail? What victories and setbacks did she encounter along the way? Against a backdrop of 19th century images, Jeanne Gehret portrays a vibrant Anthony in period costume using many of the suffragist’s own words.

Gehret is the author of a children’s biography of Miss Anthony, as well as The Truth About Daniel, a book about Susan’s brother in the Wild West.
