Brian Mulligan and the Lonesome Angels

The music of The Lonesome Angels is like an electronic magazine. You will hear original songs about politics, the environment, the history of our nation, all under the guise of folk music, country music, bluegrass and Rock n Roll.

Brian Mulligan, Founder of the Lonesome Angels, has been playing multiple instruments since he was a teenager. His inspiration comes from his father, The Beatles, The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Gram Parsons, and as an adult, Tom Petty and Mark Knopfler.

H. Wesley Perkins, bass player for The Lonesome Angels started playing bass when he was 16 years old.  Growing up in Ohio, he played in Rock n Roll bands, Jazz bands, and Blues bands.  He also played with Jim Smoke National banjo champion with a bluegrass band in the late sixties.
Bill Blanchard, Guitarist and songwriter for the Lonesome Angles, joined the band in 2013. Bill taught himself how to play guitar when he was 12 years old.  The Gibson Country Western guitar he plays is the same one both his brothers used during their high school years.  He took it over when he was 14 and it has been his main guitar ever since.
Laurie Leenhouts, fiddle player for The Lonesome Angels, started playing violin in the 4th grade.  She has studied with Alex Kanack in Brighton, NY learning classical music.  She has spent many Sunday mornings playing in her Macedon NY church.  She loves to play Celtic music with a Rochester band named Crossmolina .
Eriks Zurovskis, the original drummer for The Lonesome Angels, started playing drums in Rush Henrietta high school band in the late sixties.   He traveled to Europe with the High school band and spent many years playing drums for local Fire Depts.  He has played in several Rock bands throughout Western NY, including Niagara, Colonel Mustard and The Stonecats.
