The New York State Recreation and Park Society was founded in 1940 and incorporated in 1960. NYSRPS is the principal organization promoting quality recreation and park opportunities for all citizens of New York State through education, training, technical assistance and other support to local, county, state and federal recreation and park providers. This April the New York State Recreation and Park Society will visit Rochester for a 3-day event of professional development, networking, camaraderie and more!

Grand United Order of Odd Fellows-Area 1 Regional Meeting

The Oddfellows strengthen the bonds of Friendship, Love and Truth within their members and community and many famous people have been among their ranks including Frederick Douglass the well-known abolitionist from Rochester, NY. The Oddfellows held their Biennial Movable Convention in Rochester in August of 2016.
