Meet the conventions, conferences, and sporting events which have made Rochester, NY their destination this September.

NCORP 2018-University of Rochester Surgery Cancer Control

For 30 years, the Cancer Control Program under Dr. Morrow’s leadership has conducted translational and cancer care delivery research locally and nationally investigating the prevention and management of side effects of cancer and its treatments. The seven funded faculty members are internationally known for their outstanding contributions to the field of supportive care and survivorship, for training new researchers and for being highly collaborative colleagues. They are supported by a combined total of over $35,000,000 in current extramural NIH grant funding, which includes Dr. Morrow’s 18 million dollar grant to fund clinical trial infrastructure as a Research Base for the NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP).

2018 LEGACY Fights Cancer

LEGACY Fights Cancer brings us together for two commons causes: a passion for the game of hockey and the motivation to join the fights against cancer. During this event, money is raised for the American Cancer Society with a portion of team entry fees, merchandise sales and donations by all participants are directly given back to the foundation. Each year, we raise more money than the previous and 2017's mark of $17,972 has us set a goal to break the $20,000 mark in 2018!

International Bonsai

Like Japan’s Kokufu Bonsai Exhibition, people from around the world attend the U.S. National Bonsai Exhibitions to appreciate and study the diversity of the unique and distinctive species displayed by accomplished bonsai artists from across the United States.

World Remanufacturing Conference

National Society Daughters of American Revolution, NYS

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is now 125 years old; it was founded in 1890 by forward-looking Daughters who based the organization on the promotion of historic preservation, education, and patriotism. The Society has grown to a membership of 175,000 with nearly 3,000 chapters in 50 states and several foreign countries. The NY State Organization is over 115 years old having been established in 1896. Today, the NY State Organization has nearly 7,000 members with 126 chapters. There are many committees from which members choose to do the work of the Society and so many ways that Daughters can follow their interest and at the same time be promoting the Society’s work and ideals and as well as meeting new people and making lifelong friends.

Barbershop Harmony Society Seneca Land District Fall Convention

The Barbershop Harmony Society has tens of thousands of members across North America. Founded in 1938 as the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, Inc. (SPEBSQSA), the Society supports the community and school programs that bring the fellowship, fulfillment, and excitement of vocal music to a new generation of singers.

National Junior Prospects Hockey League

The National Junior Prospects is a showcase tournament series created and designed by coaches to develop and promote hockey players who are committed to enhancing their skills in preparation for the next level of hockey. National Junior Prospects will showcase these players on their registered teams at five showcase events across the United States in front of all levels of Prep School, Junior A, and NCAA Collegiate hockey programs.
