2018 AUU Summer Bash

Rochester Area Players (RAP) is the largest AAU program in New York State. RAP helps showcase the Greater Rochester area’s finest players. A number of players who graduate from the program continue their playing at Division I, II, III college levels, and also Professional. For the past 15 years, RAP has hosted three annual tournaments during the spring season. Each year it continues to grow and now draws over 300 teams from various states including New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio. Teams from Canada also regularly participate.

Upstate New York Synod Assembly 2018

This year’s focus on Outreach and Evangelism gives us all an opportunity to let our lights shine for the Glory of God, our Father. This year’s Synod Assembly is gearing up to help us all to do just that. Along with tending to the Synod business for the year and participating in enlightening and thought-provoking workshops, participants at this year’s assembly will have opportunities to connect with each other in new ways to engage in work to share your own story in spreading God’s glory to the world. We will welcome Ruben Duran, ELCA Director, New Congregations, as our 2018 Churchwide Representative.

USSSA Flower City Invitational--2 Weekends

The Flower City Invitational is an annual girls softball tournament hosted in the Webster area. The event features two weekends of play with girls ages 12u and 14u playing the first weekend, and girls ages 16u and 18u playing on the second weekend. The tournament is a United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) sanctioned event.

Westside Invitational Club Canal Cup

Spencerport Soccer Club and Hilton Heat Soccer Club have joined forces to host this event. Both clubs have a reputation of hosting a fun, competitive and well organized tournaments and have joined forces to have a bigger, and more competitive tournament. Their goal is to host a fun and competitive soccer experience for all ages. Sanctioned tournament.

The Ladder Conference

Flower City Comic Con

Mighty Monkey Corporation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational corporation dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, popular culture art forms, primarily through the presentation of conventions and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture. The Corporation is formed for the charitable purpose of preserving and showcasing contemporary cultural elements depicted. A further purpose of the Corporation is to educate the general public about the physical entertainment provided in communities.

NYSPHSAA State Boys Lacrosse Championship

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association Inc. is a non-profit, voluntary, educational service organization composed of public, parochial, and private schools dedicated to providing equitable and safe competition for the students of its member schools. Membership is open to secondary schools providing interschool athletic activities for boys and girls in grades 7-12.

Sweetlax is an elite club lacrosse program that focuses on developing player skills and teamwork while stressing the importance of academic performance to reach the College level. Sweetlax complements the Town, Modified and High School lacrosse programs by providing additional coaching, competitive tournaments, and the needed networking to achieve College and University placement.

The Great Race

The Great Race is an antique, vintage, and collector car competitive controlled-speed endurance road rally on public highways. It is not a test of top speed. It is a test of a driver/navigator team’s ability to follow precise course instructions and the car’s (and team’s) ability to endure on a cross-country trip. The course instructions require the competing teams to drive at or below the posted speed limits at all times.

USATF National Youth Outdoor Championships

Based in Indianapolis, USA Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track & field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States. USATF encompasses the world's oldest organized sports, the most-watched events of Olympic broadcasts, the No. 1 high school and junior high school participatory sport and more than 30 million adult runners in the United States.

Morari Bapu bases his Katha on the scriptures of Goswami Tulsidas' Sri Ramcharithmanas bringing to life not only the magnificent poetry but also the truths and fundamental principles encapsulated in this divine story to communicate his central principle of Truth, Love and Compassion.  He makes the teachings of Ramayana relevant to the modern society and living and also draws parallels to other Hindu epics and puranas as well as great works of other religions and philosophies to drive home the universal message of Ramayana.

NTID 50th Anniversary

The anniversary marks 50 years since the first cohort of students matriculated at NTID, one of the nine colleges of RIT, in 1968. A kick-off event during RIT’s Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend festivities in October 2017 will inaugurate a yearlong celebration culminating with the reunion the following June. Rochester Institute of Technology is internationally recognized as a leader in computing, engineering, imaging technology, fine and applied arts, and for providing unparalleled support services for students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. RIT is home to the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.
