High Falls Women's Film Festival: What You Need To Know Before You Go

Wednesday, October 23, 2019 9:00 AM by Visit Rochester Staff

For nearly 20 years, the High Falls Women's Film Festival has celebrated the artistry and innovation of women in film. The festival is one of a very few film festivals worldwide that recognizes the women behind the camera, in leading roles on the screen, and at the heart of storylines. What better place to celebrate women in film than in Rochester, NY-a city with the legacy as the birthplace of film AND the women's rights movement.

The High Falls Women’s Films Festival presents more than 50 features, documentaries, and shorts, including a children’s program and student-filmmaker program, in addition to panel discussions, opening and closing night parties, and informal “Coffee With” events featuring visiting filmmakers and artists.

Are you a first-time attendee? We're sharing festival info and what you need to know before you go to the 2019 High Falls Women's Film Festival happening October 31-November 3, 2019.
